Tell us how old your building is when you call for a handyman in Venice, and we can usually say which wall you have. An old beach bungalow and the new modern home beside it are put together very differently, and the price of each install follows the wall.
That price is on the install board. We work in the Silver Triangle and Milwood, and all the way from Rose Avenue down to Washington Boulevard and the Grand Canal.
What comes with every install
- One flat price each. The board price is the price for that install.
- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.
- A one-year workmanship warranty. If it comes loose, we come back at no charge.
A bungalow wall and a new modern wall, side by side
- Plaster. An old beach bungalow may still have plaster over wood lath in its original rooms.
- Drywall. New modern homes, remodeled bungalows and many of the apartments have drywall.
- Brick or concrete. This could be a brick fireplace in a bungalow, or a concrete wall in a new modern home.
- Metal studs. Some new homes and small multi-unit buildings are framed in steel.
The wall you land on has its own price on the install board. A remodeled bungalow can have more than one of these in a single room, so we check at the door before anything is drilled.
Small repairs for a bungalow or a rental
Each one is quoted in writing before we hold the day.
- Holes in the wall. We patch holes in drywall and match the texture when you need drywall repair.
- Doors. We fix a door that will not close or a patio door that drags, and our door repair page explains how.
- Screens. Our window screen replacement page covers torn window screens and patio screen doors.
- Faucets and fans. We swap a kitchen or tub faucet like for like, and we hang a ceiling fan on a box made to carry one.
Unpacking near Rose Avenue or Main Street
- One morning for the walls. The TV, the mirror and the shelves can all go up together in one morning, in the order you like.
- The TV first. On a small lot the rooms are small too, so tell us where you want the screen and we can help you settle on the spot for the TV mounting.
- Frames and furniture. Our picture and mirror hanging and furniture assembly prices can go on the same install day.
- The alley. If your place backs onto a rear alley, tell us which way to come in, so the big screen goes through the right door.
- Getting a unit ready. If you own a small building, each install in the unit has its own board price, the same as anywhere else.
