Call us when you need a handyman in Santa Monica and the job is on a wall: a TV to mount, a mirror or shelves to hang, a curtain rod, a bookcase to anchor. Each has one flat price on the install board.
The install and the wall set the price, and between the apartment buildings along Lincoln Boulevard, the bungalows in Ocean Park and the big houses north of Montana, Santa Monica has all four walls on the board.
What comes with every install
- One flat price each. The board price is the price for that install.
- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.
- A one-year workmanship warranty. If it comes loose, we come back at no charge.

What we install in Santa Monica apartments and houses
- The TV. It may go in a one-bedroom off Lincoln Boulevard or over the fireplace in an Ocean Park bungalow, and our TV mounting page sorts the brackets by wall.
- Mirrors and pictures. A full-length mirror in an apartment bedroom or frames the length of a hallway north of Montana go on the picture and mirror hanging price.
- Curtain rods. We hang a rod across a wide window so it stays level from end to end.
- Floating shelves. The bracket is hidden and screwed to the studs, so the shelf looks like it floats.
- Furniture anchored. We strap bookcases and dressers back to the wall.
- Flat-pack furniture. We do furniture assembly for the boxes, with anchoring on the same visit if the piece is tall.
Walls from Ocean Park to north of Montana
- Drywall. You will find it in the apartment and condo buildings, and in any bungalow that has been remodeled.
- Plaster. The older bungalows, Spanish and Craftsman houses in Ocean Park and the Pico Neighborhood often have plaster over lath.
- Brick or concrete. Fireplace walls are often brick, and some of the condo buildings are poured concrete.
- Metal studs. Some of the newer apartment buildings along Lincoln Boulevard are framed this way.
You can see how all four are priced on the install board.
The larger houses north of Montana can be plaster or drywall depending on when they were last redone, so we check at the door. If you cannot tell which you have, say so, and we give you the price for each wall it could be.
Moving into a building off Lincoln Boulevard
When you have just taken the keys to an apartment or a condo, the TV, mirrors, shelves and rods go up in one install day.
- A single number. You get one number for the day, made up of the board price for each piece, confirmed by text.
- Getting in. Tell us the gate code, whether there is a visitor space or a carport we can use, and whether the building manager wants to know we are coming.
- Shared walls. The drilling is short, and we put it mid-morning on a weekday.
- If you rent. Get the landlord's yes before the drill comes out, and when you leave the old place we can fill those holes too.
- One visit, in your order. The TV, the mirrors, the shelves and the rods can all go up in one visit, and you set the order.

Three things Santa Monica callers ask
What if the building has set hours for work?
Tell us the hours when you book and we pick an install day inside them. The drilling on a shared wall is short, and it goes mid-morning on a weekday anyway.
Is a concrete wall a problem?
No, it is just the highest column on the board. We set sleeve anchors into the concrete itself, and you watch the level sit on it before we pack up.
Do I buy the bracket?
Yes. What you pay us for is the labor and the anchors, and the bracket, shelf or rod comes from you. Give us the TV model and we will tell you if the bracket suits the wall.
Repairs we can add to the same trip
A repair gets its own written quote before we hold the day.
- Drywall and plaster patches. We fill and texture anchor holes, old mount holes and the dent behind a door handle so you cannot find them. Our drywall repair page says how.
- Door repair. A door that will not stay shut or scrapes the floor is rehung square, and you can read more about door repair before you call.
- Screens. We put new mesh in the frame for a window screen replacement, and we lift a patio screen door back onto its track.
- Weather stripping and window caulking. We put new weather stripping on the front door and fresh caulking around the windows that face the ocean.
- Faucets and fans. We swap a faucet for the same kind and put up a ceiling fan on a box rated for it.
