Repairs in an apartment or a tract house
We put a quote in writing for each one before we hold the day.
- Drywall patch. For drywall repair, we fill old anchor holes and door handle dents and match the texture.
- Door repair. A door that drags or will not close gets rehung square, and our door repair page explains what we check.
- Screens. We handle door screen replacement and new window mesh for a window screen replacement.
- Between tenants. If you own an apartment building, we can patch, rehang and replace screens in a unit, and each repair is quoted before we start.
One install day off Van Nuys Boulevard
If you have just moved in off Van Nuys Boulevard or Sepulveda Boulevard, we can put everything up on a single install day.
- The TV. Tell us the TV model and the wall, and we will say which bracket to buy. Our TV mounting page lists them.
- Mirrors and frames. These go on our picture and mirror hanging price, and heavy ones go into the studs.
- Shelves and curtain rods. We put up floating shelves on the wall you pick and a rod across a wide window, with the level on each one before we move on.
- Boxes. Our furniture assembly price covers the flat-pack, and tall pieces can be anchored while we are there.
- The total. Each piece keeps its board price, and you see the sum by text.
Walls on Sepulveda, Sherman Way and the tract streets
- Drywall. Many of the apartment buildings along Sepulveda Boulevard, Van Nuys Boulevard and Sherman Way are drywall.
- Plaster. An older bungalow around the core of town often has plaster over lath, and a postwar tract house may have a thin coat of it.
- Brick or concrete. This is usually the fireplace wall in a tract house, and a converted garage may have a block wall.

Can you put a TV up in a converted garage?
Yes. A converted garage can have drywall on one wall and block on another, so tell us which wall you want. The wall you choose decides the column.
I own a small apartment building. Can you do several units?
Yes. Five or six installs fit in one morning, and each one is at its board price, so the total is easy to see before we hold the day.
Do you come to Lake Balboa and Valley Glen?
Yes. Lake Balboa next door and Valley Glen next door are on the same install days, and so are the streets near Van Nuys Airport and along Oxnard Street.
