• Floating shelves. When there is no room for a bookcase, shelves do the same job, and they keep the floor of a small apartment clear.
• Curtain rods. A long rod over an apartment slider has to stay straight, and we hang it that way.
• Furniture. We put together what you bought with our furniture assembly price, and we can tie the tall pieces back to the wall.

From a Valley Glen bungalow to a building by the NoHo station

Here is how each kind of home in the area lines up with the board.

• Plaster. Small older bungalows often have plaster over lath, and some of the postwar ranch homes have a thin coat of it.
• Drywall. Apartment buildings around North Hollywood are mostly drywall, and so are remodeled rooms in the houses.
• Metal studs. Some of the newer buildings near the NoHo Metro station may be framed in steel.
• Brick or concrete. In a house this is usually the fireplace.

We quote these in writing before we hold the day, one at a time.

• Holes in the wall. For drywall repair, we patch the holes left by old mounts and door handles, and we match the texture around them.
• Door knobs and doors. We can fix a door knob that has come loose, or do the door repair on a door that will not close.
• Screens. If a window screen is torn, our window screen replacement page explains what we do.
• Weather stripping and caulking. We can put new weather stripping on an outside door and run window caulking where you need it.

Setting up a new apartment near Vineland Avenue

A new apartment near Vineland Avenue or a house off Burbank Boulevard can have all of its installs done on one install day.

• One total. We add your board prices together and text you the amount before we hold the day.
• The order of the rooms. We go room by room in the order you choose.
• Your landlord. If you rent, ask your landlord before we drill. If you are the landlord, we can do the rods and mirrors in a unit before your new tenant moves in.
• Getting here. We need a spot to park, so if you have a space behind the building, please tell us.
