Handyman installs in Encino
For Encino houses and condos, Square Corner Handymen installs TVs, mirrors, shelves and curtain rods at one flat price per install, with the wall setting the column. Call (310) 857-2520 for a same-week install day.
Free to quote. Same-week days, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
We are a handyman in Encino who mostly does the things that go on walls: TVs, mirrors, shelves, curtain rods and furniture that needs anchoring. Each one has a flat price on the install board, and the column it sits in depends on the wall.
Encino is a place where a house on an old street can have brand-new walls, because so many of the ranch houses have been rebuilt, so we ask about the house before we price the wall.
What comes with every install
- One flat price each. The board price is the price for that install.
- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.
- A one-year workmanship warranty. If it comes loose, we come back at no charge.

What we install from Louise Avenue to Lake Balboa
- Mirrors and pictures. We hang a tall mirror in a primary bedroom, a hallway of frames, or the heavy mirror the old hook could not hold, all priced as picture and mirror hanging.
- The TV. It may go over the fireplace in a ranch house or on the long wall of a rebuilt family room, and the brackets we use for each wall are on our TV mounting page.
- Floating shelves. We fix the bracket into the studs, and the level sits on the shelf before we move on.
- Curtain rods. A long rod over a slider needs a bracket in the middle too, or it bows.
- Furniture anchored. We tie a bookcase, a dresser or a wardrobe back to the wall so it cannot come forward.
- Flat-pack furniture. We do furniture assembly for whatever is still in its box.
Repairs quoted in writing on the same visit
- Drywall patch. We fill the holes left by anchors and old mounts and the dent behind a door handle, then texture them so the patch disappears. Drywall repair and plaster patches are both quoted in writing.
- Door repair. A door that rubs the frame or swings open on its own gets rehung and the latch lined up. Our door repair page explains what we check.
- Screens. We do window screen replacement and window screen repair, plus door screen replacement and sliding door screen replacement.
- Caulking, faucets and fans. We can run a fresh bead around the tub, swap a faucet like for like and hang a ceiling fan on a box rated for it.

Settling into a condo off Burbank Boulevard
If you have just moved into one of the condos or apartments along Burbank Boulevard, or a house a few streets back, we can do the whole place as one install day.
- One number for the day. Every piece is priced from the board on its own, and the sum goes to you by text before we hold the day.
- Shared walls. In a building with neighbors on the other side of the wall, the drilling happens mid-morning on a weekday.
- A rental. Your landlord needs to say yes before we drill, and we can fill the holes at the old place on the way out.
- Working across town. If your day starts on the 101 or the 405, a 7am start or a Saturday keeps the install day out of your work week.
- One visit. The TV, two mirrors, shelves and a curtain rod can all go up in one visit, in whatever order you want.
Old plaster, new drywall and the rebuilt houses
Encino has postwar ranch houses, larger custom houses, and a lot of ranch houses rebuilt into something bigger, so the wall does not always match the age of the street.
- Plaster. An original ranch house often still has plaster over lath.
- Drywall. You can expect it in a rebuilt or remodeled house, the custom houses, and the condos and apartments along Burbank Boulevard.
- Brick or concrete. This is the fireplace wall, and sometimes a block wall in the garage.
- Metal studs. Some of the newer condo buildings are framed this way.
You can see how each wall is priced on the install board. We cover Lake Balboa and Tarzana next door on the same install days, and if the wall is a mystery, say so and we quote it for each wall it could be.
Encino questions we answer on the first call
The house was rebuilt. Does that change the price?
Often it lowers it. A rebuilt house usually has drywall where the old plaster was, and drywall is the lowest price on the board. We confirm it at the door before the first hole.
Can you anchor furniture in a rental?
Yes, with your landlord's okay. The straps leave small holes that are easy to patch when you move out, and we can do that patch, quoted in writing.
What does the price cover?
It covers our labor and the anchors that suit your wall. The bracket, shelf or rod you buy yourself, and if you give us the TV model first we can tell you whether your bracket suits the wall.
Call (310) 857-2520, say what is going up and what it is going on, and the flat price and the day are confirmed by text.
Van Nuys, Woodland Hills and Sherman Oaks are on the same install days.
