Free to quote. Same-week days, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
Older apartment walls are the main thing to know about when you hire a handyman in West Hollywood. Many of the buildings here went up between the 1920s and the 1960s, and a wall from the 1920s and a wall from the 1960s do not go in the same column on the install board.
So we ask when your building went up, if you know, and which wall the install is going on.
What comes with every install
- One flat price each. The board price is the price for that install.
- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.
- A one-year workmanship warranty. If it comes loose, we come back at no charge.

Old apartment walls, newer condo walls and the Norma Triangle
- Plaster. The older apartment buildings and the small Spanish and bungalow houses on the side streets of the Norma Triangle often have plaster over lath.
- Drywall. A building toward the 1960s end of that range, or a unit that has been remodeled, is more likely to be drywall.
- Brick or concrete. You may have a brick fireplace in an older unit, and some condo buildings may have concrete walls.
The install board has the price for each of these walls. You do not need to know which one you have, because we can check at the door before the first hole.
Moving into an apartment off Santa Monica Boulevard
If you just got the keys to a place off Santa Monica Boulevard or Sunset Boulevard, the TV, mirror and rods can all go up on one install day.
- One figure for the day. We total up your board prices and send you the figure by text before we hold the day.
- Your first room. You say which room goes first, and we go on from there.
- Asking first. If you are renting, please ask your landlord before we drill into the wall.
- Parking. Street parking is tight, so tell us if there is a carport space we can use.

Repairs to add in your West Hollywood home
Each one is quoted in writing before we hold the day.
- Door repair. We can do the door repair on an old door that scrapes or will not catch, and rehang it.
- Wall patches. We fill holes in plaster or drywall and texture them, and you can read about drywall repair before you call.
- Screens. We have a page on window screen replacement if a screen is torn or missing.
- Weather stripping and caulking. We can do new weather stripping on an outside door and window caulking on a drafty frame.

What goes up in a one-bedroom near the Sunset Strip
- The TV. In a one-bedroom the TV often has to share a wall with a window or a door, so tell us the wall you want. Our TV mounting page covers the brackets.
- Mirrors and art. A big mirror can make a small room feel larger, and it goes up on our picture and mirror hanging price along with any frames.
- Floating shelves. They save floor space in a one-bedroom.
- Curtain rods. We hang a rod that a heavy curtain will not bend, even across a wide window.
- Furniture. Our furniture assembly price covers what came in a box, and we can anchor a tall bookcase afterward.
Call (310) 857-2520 and tell us your building and your wall, and we will text your flat price and your install day.
Our install days also include Hollywood and Beverly Hills, right next door.
