What comes with every install
- One flat price each. The board price is the price for that install.
- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.
- A one-year workmanship warranty. If it comes loose, we come back at no charge.
Walls on the flats, in the bungalows and above Franklin
- Drywall. Many apartment and condo buildings on the flats have drywall.
- Plaster. A 1920s Spanish home or bungalow in Whitley Heights, or an older building around Little Armenia, often has plaster over lath.
- Brick or concrete. You find this at the fireplace in an older home, and in some apartment buildings.
- Metal studs. A newer building near Highland Avenue may be framed in steel.
Whether it is TV mounting or picture and mirror hanging, the install board shows how each of these walls is priced. Older hillside homes above Franklin can be either plaster or a mix, so tell us the room. If you cannot tell, a quick check at the door settles it before we drill.
Door knobs, patches and patio doors to add to the visit
A repair gets its own quote in writing before we hold the day, and it can go on an install day or stand alone.
- Patches. We patch holes in drywall and plaster, and our drywall repair page tells you more.
- Door knobs and doors. A door knob that spins or a door that will not close can be fixed, and our door repair page goes over it.
- Patio doors and screens. We take on patio door repair, and you can read about window screen replacement if the mesh is torn.
- Faucets and fans. We can do a tub faucet replacement like for like, and hang a ceiling fan on the right box.
Moving into a place near Highland Avenue
If you have just moved in near Highland Avenue or Vine Street, your TV, mirrors, shelves and curtain rods can all go up on one install day.
- The total for the day. We add the board price of each piece together and text you the total before we hold the day.
- A morning for all of it. We start wherever you like and work through the place room by room until it is done.
- Boxes. If your furniture is still flat, our furniture assembly price covers building it, and we can anchor it on that visit.
- Narrow streets. If you live on a winding street near Runyon Canyon, tell us about the steps, so we can plan how to get a big TV inside.
- Parking. Let us know if there is a carport or tuck-under space we can use.
Hollywood questions about renting and the hills
Can you mount a TV if I rent?
Yes, once your landlord has said it is okay. When you move out, we can take the mount down and patch the wall, and that part is quoted in writing.
Does a house near the Hollywood Bowl cost more than an apartment on the flats?
Only if the wall is different. A plaster wall in either place is priced the same, and the hill is not on the board.
What should I have ready?
Please have the bracket, shelf or rod at home, along with the TV model if you have a question about it. We bring the anchors, and they are part of the flat price.
