The flats and the hills of Studio City tend to have different walls, so tell your handyman in Studio City which side of Ventura Boulevard you are on before anyone prices a TV.
Each install has a flat price on the install board. Laurel Terrace and Fryman Canyon are on our install days too.
What comes with every install
- One flat price each. The board price is the price for that install.
- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.
- A one-year workmanship warranty. If it comes loose, we come back at no charge.
Bungalow rooms, hillside rooms and what goes up in them
- Big screens and small ones. A big screen in a hillside family room and a smaller one in an apartment bedroom both go by the wall behind them, and our TV mounting page covers the brackets.
- Mirrors and frames. A full-length mirror in a bungalow bedroom or a row of frames down the hall comes under picture and mirror hanging.
- Floating shelves. These suit a narrow bungalow room, where a bookcase would take up the floor.
- Curtain rods. On the flats, heavy curtains help with the Valley heat, and we hang a rod that will not sag under them.
- Tall furniture. Our furniture assembly price covers building it, and we can strap it to the wall so it stays put.
Moving to Tujunga Avenue or Coldwater Canyon Avenue
We book a move as one install day.
- The rooms in your order. You pick the order of the rooms, and we start there.
- A steep driveway. Homes south of Ventura Boulevard can have steep driveways and tight garages, so tell us and we will plan how the big screen gets to your door.
- Apartments along Ventura and Moorpark. Tell us which floor you are on and whether the TV wall is shared with a neighbor, so we know what we are drilling into.
- The old place. If you are leaving an apartment at the same time, we can take the mounts down there. Our drywall repair page covers patching the holes, and that repair is quoted in writing.
The wall you probably have, on the flats or up the canyon
The flats around Radford Studio Center and the hills up toward Wilacre Park were built differently.
- Plaster. Older bungalows and ranch homes on the flats often still have plaster in their original rooms.
- Drywall. Later hillside homes, most apartment buildings and any room that has been redone usually have drywall.
- Brick or concrete. This tends to be the fireplace wall in a bungalow or a ranch home, or a lower room built into the hill.
- Metal studs. Some of the newer condos and apartments along Ventura Boulevard are framed in steel.
