Tract homes in East Ventura, waterfront homes in the Ventura Keys and older cottages each have their own kind of wall, so the anchors a handyman in Ventura brings depend on where you live.
The install board sets one price for each install on each kind of wall, and it is the same whether you are off Telegraph Road or near Seaward Avenue.
What comes with every install
- One flat price each. The board price is the price for that install.
- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.
- A one-year workmanship warranty. If it comes loose, we come back at no charge.
What we put up from East Ventura to the Keys
- A TV on any wall in the house. The anchors change with the wall, and our TV mounting page goes through the brackets too.
- Mirrors and pictures. Our picture and mirror hanging price covers a row of frames in a tract home hallway or a heavy mirror in a cottage bedroom.
- Shelves in a small room. In an older cottage, floating shelves save floor space and keep books and plants off a small floor.
- Curtain rods on wide windows. A wide window looking out at the water takes a long rod, and we hang it level.
- Furniture. We can build flat-pack on our furniture assembly price, then strap the bookcase or dresser to the wall.
Which wall a tract home, a cottage or a Keys home has
- Drywall. The tract homes in East Ventura usually have drywall, and so does any remodeled room.
- Plaster. Older cottages and Craftsman homes often still have plaster.
- Brick or concrete. Usually this is a fireplace in an older home, or a block wall in an attached garage.
Metal studs are less common in Ventura houses, so you can expect one of those three. The install board shows how each is priced.
A waterfront home in the Keys could be drywall or plaster depending on its age, so tell us roughly when it was built. If you are not sure, we check at the door before we drill.
Repairs to add on a trip to Ventura
Each repair gets a written quote before we hold the day, and it can go with an install or stand alone.
- Patching holes. Our drywall repair covers patching holes and matching the texture.
- Door knobs and patio doors. If a door knob needs fixing or a door will not close, we take care of that door repair too.
- Screens. We replace torn window screens and put patio screen doors back on their track. Our window screen replacement page has more.
- Weather stripping and window caulking. We put new weather stripping on an outside door and fresh caulk around a window on the side of the house that gets the salt air.
