A Victorian or Craftsman home has a very different wall from a postwar ranch home, and a handyman in Monrovia has to know which one you have. Each has a column on the install board, and that column and the install make up your flat price.

What comes with every install

Bathroom, kitchen and door repairs in Monrovia

What goes up in older rooms and newer ones
- A TV. We do TV installation on plaster, drywall or brick, so pick the wall you like and ask what it means for the price of the TV mounting.
- A mirror or a set of frames. On old plaster a heavy mirror goes on long screws through to the studs, at our picture and mirror hanging price.
- Floating shelves. We put up floating shelves on old plaster or on newer walls, once we know which you have.
- A curtain rod. A long one goes up straight, whether the room is old or new.
- Furniture. Our furniture assembly price puts the flat-pack together, and a tall bookcase can be strapped to the wall.
Old plaster, ranch walls and the streets toward Duarte
- A Victorian or Craftsman home. Expect plaster over wood lath unless the room has been redone.
- A brick fireplace. Brick shows up at the fireplace in many of the older homes.
- A postwar ranch home. South of town near Duarte Road, you might have a thin plaster coat in the first rooms and drywall in the rest.
- A hillside home. These run through several ages, so tell us roughly when yours was built.
- An apartment. It is usually drywall.
