Bungalow or townhome is the first thing we ask when you call for a handyman in Alhambra, because those two have very different walls. An older Craftsman or Spanish bungalow is likely to be plaster and a townhome is likely to be drywall, and the install board has a separate column for each.
What comes with every install

- Free to quote. Install days are same-week, Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
- A text within two hours. We confirm your price and your day by text, between 7am and 7pm.
- Level before we pack up. You see the bubble centered before we leave.

Bungalow walls and townhome walls in Alhambra
- Plaster. An older Craftsman or Spanish bungalow, in Emery Park or anywhere else in town, probably has plaster over lath.
- Drywall. Townhomes and many of the apartments here are drywall, as is any bungalow room that has been redone.
- Brick or concrete. In a bungalow, this is usually the fireplace wall.
- Metal studs. A newer townhome or apartment building near Valley Boulevard could be framed in steel.
Each of these is priced in its own column on the install board. If you cannot tell what you have, in Midwick Tract or elsewhere in town, say so, and we check the wall at the door before we drill. If something is not on the board, you hear it first and can say no.
TV wall mount installation and more for Alhambra homes
- The TV. TV wall mount installation in a small bungalow living room comes down to which wall you pick, because brick and plaster are priced differently. Our TV mounting page explains the brackets.
- Mirrors and pictures. Heavy mirrors go on screws into the studs, and a line of frames in a hallway goes on the same picture and mirror hanging price.
- Floating shelves. On plaster, we take the bracket through to the studs, so a loaded shelf stays put.
- Curtain rods. We hang the rod level, whether the wall above the window is plaster or drywall.
- Furniture. A flat-pack bookcase goes together on our furniture assembly price, and we can strap it to the wall before we go.
Moving in near Garfield Avenue
If you have just moved in near Garfield Avenue or Almansor Park, you can have everything put up on one install day.
- Your total. Send us what is going up and the wall for each, and we text back one total made from the board prices.
- Your order. We start in whichever room you want done first, and we go on in the order you like.
- Long driveways. Many bungalows sit down a long driveway, so tell us if we can pull up by the house.
- Renting. Please ask your landlord before the drilling starts. If you are moving out of an old place at the same time, we can patch the holes there, quoted in writing.
Door knobs, patio doors and patches in Alhambra
You get a written quote for each repair before we hold the day.
- Door knobs and sticking doors. We do door repair too, so if you need someone to fix a door knob or a door that will not latch, we can take care of it.

- Holes in walls. We do drywall repair and patch holes in plaster as well.
- Fans and faucets. We swap a faucet for the same type and hang a ceiling fan on a box that will carry it.
